MTV Skateboarder -- Underage, Overpaid

Before he even got his high school diploma, MTV skateboarding star Ryan Sheckler was already pullin' in more cash more than most college grads.

TMZ obtained his official MTV contract -- filed with the courts back in '07 because he was a minor. The docs show that when Sheckler was 17-years-old, dude was making $9,617.70 an episode for his reality show "Life of Ryan."

The docs had to be signed by his guardian and the president of his company, Ryan Sheckler Inc -- both of whom happen to be his mom.

But Ryan wasn't the only kid from his family cashin' in -- his brothers Kane and Shane also got paid for their sidekick roles, each were $1,500 a show.

Not a bad gig for a couple of kids.

Completing a Manual

Here is a NewEnglandSkate Helpful Hint for today:

How to complete "the manual":

Step 1: Place your board so that you have a bird's eye view of it.

Step 2: Place your right foot on the right back edge of the board, and your left food about a third of the way back on the left side.

Step 3: Pedal one of your feet to get some momentum and then return it to the exact spot it was in.

Step 4: VERY IMPORTANT STEP. Bend your left knee and put some more weight on your right leg. Do not lean back.

Step 5: Fall flat on your ass - or face - because you didn't follow Step 4 and do it all over again.

Sheriff's Office: Skateboarders were given prior warnings

NewEnglandSkate wants to be sure that this doesn't happen to you! My son got his skateboard taken by the police for sitting on it and riding down a busy road. Reasoning: There was a bar right there and he didn't want a drunk to run him over. The popo are really there to serve and protect! If they give you crap make sure that you aren't doing something that you shouldn't!

BROOKSVILLE - Three teenagers were shocked last week when they received $47 tickets for riding on the wrong side of the road.
In a story published in Friday's Hernando Today, the mother of one of the boys said she could not understand why her son was not given a warning instead. Her son's skateboarding hobby keeps him out of trouble in their neighborhood north of Brooksville, said Tonya White.
But the sheriff's office said Friday the deputy who gave them tickets, Richard Purchase, had given the teenagers "numerous" warnings to ride on the left shoulder of the road. Even after the boys were given citations, the boys continued to ignore the deputy's instructions, Sgt. Donna Black, spokeswoman, said.
"We're just trying to save lives and that's our whole purpose," Black said.
Instead of complaining, the parents should be thanking deputies for keeping their children safe, she added.
